Still trying to get caught up on my blogging
but we are all the way to August.
We had a fabulous and fun August.
One of our favorite summer stops,
Westside Drive In
We shared some finger steaks and it was delicious!
Look at my cute date.
We had gone jet skiing up at Lucky Peak with Devin and Sarah and family and
stopped at the Westside on the way home.
YUM!
I think we also enjoyed an ice cream potato.
On August 3 we celebrated our 40th anniversary!
Look how young we were in this engagement picture.
We celebrated with a delicious dinner at Ruth's Chris steak house
courtesy of Taylor and Brittany.
Then we went to the Morrison Center
and watched Les Miserables
It was fabulous!
We spent the weekend in Sun Valley.
We stopped at Alturas Lake for picnic on the way.
And had Thai food for dinner
Then took a bike ride on the green belt
We celebrated Lucille's 93rd Birthday with a family party
Tom went on a backpacking trip so I drove to Utah and spent some time with Whitney.
She drove me out to Iosepa so I could see where my
great grandparents lived while serving a mission to the Hawaiian people.
The Hawaiian descendants still meet at Iosepa ever 5 years or so for a reunion.
I love taking my grandkids to lunch and then shopping for their birthday.
We bought Eva this backpack for her birthday.
At the end of August we drove up to Starlight Theater in Garden Valley with our friends the Hathaway's and the Manwaring's and watched
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
They did a great job and the setting is amazing.
Are these pics scary or what??!
Evan had an aging app on his phone.
Man I hope this isn't what the future brings.
My buddy Trex came to visit me in August when he was home from
Penn State visiting Boise.
I love this guy.
He's like a son to me, in fact he lived with us a couple of months when he first moved to Boise.
We took our last campout of the year up to Warm Lake the weekend before school
started. As you can see Warm Lake is a beautiful spot.
Tommy the Avenger.
I'm not sure Tom and I have as good of moves?
We had so much fun kayaking and paddleboarding.
and rope swinging
Tommy and Sophie even did it.
Yum, dutch oven dinner!
We stopped for a picnic and a hotspring on the way home from camping.
We headed to the Western Idaho State Fair for our annual visit.
I decided I needed another desk in our office, so I ordered one from Mayfair.
It came in a box in a million pieces,
but I channeled my inner Whitney and look how it turned out.
I am so proud of me.
A random sunset pic from our yard.
Have I said how much I love our view??
Eva had a Baking competition for her birthday party.
Tom and Devin were the judges.
The girls decorated some amazing cakes.
Sarah had it so well organized.
Another August day, another picnic and glorious drive into the
mountains of Idaho.
