"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Disneyworld in September = HOT

I heard that my kids and grandkids were going to Disneyworld in September, so I decided to tag along. Sara had room in one of her rooms, so it was a done deal. I got to Orlando on Saturday night and took the Magic Express to our rooms at the Caribbean resort. I found everyone asleep so I hopped into bed for an early morning the next day.
We all bought matching Hakuna Matata shirts for our day at Animal Kingdom.

We went to Animal Kingdom first thing in the morning and the first character we saw was Kevin from the movie UP.

We rode the Avator ride in Pandora which was really cool and ate lunch at the restaurant there.
The food was amazing.
We went on the Safari ride and Expedition Everest
I love this picture of all my grandkids.  They LOVED this ride!
We watched the Lion King show! AMAZING!

and cooled off in the Kali River Rapids

Did I mention how hot it was.
September in Florida is Hurricane season and it was hot and humid.
Every picture of me I looked like I'm melting.

I love this group picture.
These cousins love each other.

Night time in Pandoraland.
It looked so cool all lit up.

The next day we headed bright and early to Hollywood Studios.
Of all the days, I think this one was the hottest.
First stop, Star Wars Galaxies Edge and the Millenial Falcon ride.
I thought Star Wars land was way cool and so many characters were walking around.
Here's Rey.
The Storm Troopers were really fun.
We went to the Cantina for some blue milk after we rode the ride.
Then we visited some characters.

We went to the Frozen show and it was really cute!

and we finally cooled off at the 50's diner and had a great lunch.

We went to the Little Mermaid show
and I entertained Eva and Tommy while the others rode Tower of Terror.

Then I got my turn, I love that ride, it is my favorite!
We went to the Bug's Life show
and Eva even built a robot. It was a very busy, hot, but fun day!
The next day we went to EPCOT.
Shaved ice in Japan never tasted so good.

 and had pastries in France

We visited Jasmine and Alladin in Morroco because we had our Alladin shirts  on of course.

We visited Sleeping Beauty

and Belle

and found Alice in England.
She was darling.

Devin and I took Tommy back to the hotel.
We were exhausted.

Our pirate themed rooms.
I shared my room and bathroom with Lucy and Zach.

Our last day we went to the happiest place on earth, Magic Kingdom.
Ariel's grotto ride
These two cousins are best buds.

Lunch at the Beast's castle
The "gray stuff" is delicious.

Dumbo's ride

Jungle Cruise
Dole Whip
Sophie's Peter Pan Dole Whip
Disney Parade

Tea Cups

Splash Mountain!
The day we flew back home we first went to a character breakfast at one of the hotels.
We met Prince Eric
and Rapunzel
and Ariel
Breakfast was delicious with the whole crew.
Devin and I walked around  Disney  Springs
and got a Coke at the Coke store
On the shuttle ride ride to the airport, Leah pulled out her tooth.
We had a fabulous, but hot, Disneycation!

That is so fun that you could enjoy the trip with your cute grandkids! That is what makes Disney world and all the theme parks enjoyable - when you can see your kids and grandkids having a wonderful time! I love all the awesome pictures of you and the grandkids together! I can see the joy on their faces at being with their cousins - that is the frosting on the cake! Being a grandma is the best - and you are a super grandma!! You braved the heat and humidity and made some wonderful memories!
