"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Escape to McCall

Dad and I took a birthday getaway to McCall last Friday. We had a wonderful time. We had a beautiful drive up (everything is so green and lush)and then checked into our motel and had dinner at Lardo's. The name sounds terrible, but the food is really good. We took a drive to some hot springs, but unfortunately Gold Fork hot springs closed early so we didn't get to swim ):, but it was a pretty, peaceful drive.
We got up on Saturday morning and took a hike to Goose Creek Falls.

I have never seen the water so high. It was pretty scary in a few places, but I was so brave (:!

We drove home through Council and Cambridge and then had a picnic at the Emmett Cherry Festival. After all these years, I had never been and it was fun to check it out. We hurried home to go to Taylor's basketball game only to be surprised with a Surpise 50th birthday party! Stay tuned.....
