I just got back from a wonderful trip to Clemson, South Carolina to visit with Devin and Sarah and help with baby Eva. It was so much fun! Eva is growing up so fast (I guess I would too if I ate every two hours). Each day I would notice subtle changes in her. Sarah and Devin are such cute parents. It is so fun to see them loving and caring for Eva. It was also fun to meet Devin and Sarah's friends and see how much they are loved and appreciated in their ward. Devin was offered an internship in Greenville with a Hotel company while I was there. It will be a great experience for him. I got to go to my first BIGTIME football game at Clemson. It was a sea of orange with all the Clemson fans. It made me glad though to live in the west without the heat and humidity at football games. Clemson won easily over the Citadel. I also got to go to the Opening game parade and to eat out at some fun southern restaurants like, Sardis Barbecue, Mac's Drive-In, Five Guys Burgers, Rita's (and you thought those were only in Philly), and Tom's all time favorite, Waffle House. The best part of the trip though was getting to hold and help with baby Eva. She is so sweet. My heart is full of thanks and gratitude for the blessing of families. Eva is blessed to have such great parents and Devin and Sarah are so blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy daughter.

We had such a fun time last week. Thank you for coming out to help us and to meet little Eva. She was always so happy in her grandma's arms. Can't wait for Thanksgiving!
Mom, this blog rocks! Never pull the plug on it, ok? We got a kick out of your photo collage. We are glad that you enjoy all of the Southern food places we take you to. Not quite the diverse, refined assortment of restaurant choices that you get in Philly and elsewhere but good food nonetheless. Add Mutt's BBQ to the list. Mmmm, I'm craving that sweet potato casserole just thinking about it...
Sounds like you had a blast! Those pictures are great--what a sweet baby. Congrats!
Hey, look who's back! Nice to have Ms. Joan back in the house. Fast food gets old after a while, especially when all you hear about are all of the great places to eat in S. Carolina. Let's take bets on when Joan will take off on her next great adventure . . .
How wonderful that you got the opportunity to go to South Carolina to meet baby Eva. She is absolutely darling! So fun for Lucy to have not only a cousin, but a little friend as well.
She is so cute!! Looks like Grandma heaven!! Now you just need to talk them into moving back to Idaho for the "free babysitting!"
A beautiful baby and fun week! I'm so happy for you. Tom, I'm giving her two weeks, maybe three.
