"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

New Granddaughter!!

We are so excited for our new little granddaughter. Eva (pronounced Ava) Marie Morris was born on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 8:50 am weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. What a blessing to have a healthy baby and Devin and Sarah will be such great parents. She is so lucky to come to such a wonderful family. I can't wait to meet her in person. I get to fly out to South Carolina on Wednesday, Sept 3 and will be there until Sept 11(what a great day to fly?!)Thanks Tom and Taylor for letting me be Grandma!
Here are some of my favorite photos:
Devin doing some bonding and catching up on his sleep.

The excited parents (it's not fair Sarah to look that good after what you did!)
Eva knew her Dad's touch and would stop crying when Devin would hold her little hand!
I'm so thankful that Heavenly Father entrusts us with these little spirits! What a blessing eternal families are! Thanks Devin and Sarah.

I must admit, I thought that all little newborns look like aliens but this little girl is different. She was disarmingly cute from the moment she was born. Okay so maybe I'm just a little biased but still...

Cutest baby ever! (Sorry Lucy, but you are not a baby any more - can you read this yet?) How fun for you Joan! Don't worry about Taylor and me. We'll just be home working and paying taxes and going to school.

She is so beautiful!! I am pretty sure in those pictures I could see in her eyes that she needs her Grandma!!!!

Wow. I kind of resent this post. Maybe it's just that Lucy's getting knocked off her throne, but a) I don't think she should be included in the list of newborns looking like aliens, b)she could still historically be the cutest baby ever at least, and c)Lucy needs her grandma just as much if not more since her mom is getting ready to through her little tantruming-bumb out the window.

Don't do it, Sara. She is beautiful and perfect and I'm so happy for all of you!

PS Though your play for sympathy is heard, Tom, it's really fooling no one. We all know exactly where the Lone Wolf is right now (well, not exactly because there are lots of mountains in Idaho) and I don't think it's working or paying taxes! Hope you're having fun!

You are so right Kay, he's up in Stanley, Idaho as we speak. So much for working and paying taxes.

Joan wins the prize for the hardest worker this week. I was the lazy bum while she single-handedly ran the household and taught 2 bewildered parents what to do with a baby. Eva misses her grandma!
