"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Odds and Ends

Not too much has been going on around here lately. Just dentist appointments, service in the cannery, mamograms and other not that exciting stuff. We don't complain about our "mundane" days. We are just thankful for all our many blessings.
I was able to go to the Twin Falls Temple with some sisters in our ward. It is a full day trip but very enjoyable.
We got our first snow. It didn't stick, but we had huge wet flakes falling.
Tom and I went to the BSU/University of Utah basketball game. Utah is terrible and BSU won by 20 points.
Speaking of being Thankful.. I have so much to be thankful for and look forward to a day to focus my thoughts on all my blessings. I love Thanksgiving!!! I plan to sit down sometime in the next few days and make a list of all my many blessings, even the little things, like having air to breath (which really isn't a little thing at all). My favorite scripture is found in the Book of Mormon in Mosiah 2:19-21 and I reiterate King Benjamin's words, "O how you (we) ought to thank your (our) heavenly King." for the abundance we all enjoy! Happy Thanksgiving!
I love this song and think it is a perfect song for Thanksgiving.
When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

I agree. I love the quiet and mundane life and give thanks for it. I've yet to see your life be either quiet or mundane, though. It seems you're always going 100 miles/hour. I love your scripture and song. I need to go check if I have that one marked in my scriptures.
