We had our annual King Cake party on March 4. It was fun having John and Cindy, Carina, Adam and Logan (Aaron was out of town), and Missy, Jedd, Jared, Sam, Ellie, and Anderson over.
We had delicious food, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, shrimp etouffee, collard greens, biscuits and honey butter, salad with strawberries, lemonade, king cake, lemon bars and chocolate chocolate chip cookies.
As usual and as has become tradition, John got the baby in his slice of King Cake. We topped the evening off with a wild game of Catch Phrase.

Whitney and her friends, Lauren and Kiera came to visit last weekend. Our friend Trex, who lives here in Boise, was eager to show them the highlights of Boise, so we visited the Idaho Historical museum.
You ride lots of horses in Idaho!
.

Look it's Sacajawea and Merriweather Lewis in their dugout canoe.

Need I say more?

| We stopped for some famous Idaho snacks on our way home from the museum, finger steaks and an Idaho potato made from ice cream. YUM! |

Yum! Who fried the chicken? I think I've only done that once in my life. Looks like a fun weekend.
Well, Sister Popeye's is an amazing chicken fryer.
I'm sad that we missed the King Cake Party! The food looks so good and how fun that you now have a kid's table and an adult table - the tradition is growing! The Idaho potato pictures are fun!
Love the Idaho potato pictures. Classic! Did your fried chicken have maggots?? Maybe that's why Kay never tried it more than once.
You guys know how to have a fun time! And those kids aren't so little anymore.
