"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Fall Traditions!

Every fall Missy and I drive out to the orchards at Sunny slope in Marsing Idaho to buy fresh picked apples. This year we got to make two trips, one in September for Honey crisp apples, and one in October for golden delicious.
We both love this annual tradition that started with my Mom and Dad many years ago. I think Grandma and Grandpa Gabe are so happy that we faithfully make our pilgrimage every fall.

Williamson Orchard is our favorite!

Since the weather in October was so pleasant, Tom and I got to go golfing in Nampa one Friday afternoon in October. It was a beautiful day!
What made it even better was that BYU beat Boise State in a football game
later that night.
We both sported our BYU colors to support the Cougs!

Whitney brought two of her friends, Keira and Katie,
home for a visit last weekend.
Tom took us on an adventure to Leslie Gulch on Saturday
in search of a hot springs.
Unfortunately the road got a little too crazy so we didn't make it to the hot springs, but we took an awesome hike.
It is always a JOY to have Whitney come home for a visit.

I'm so glad that you keep the apple orchard tradition every fall - I miss going with you! Your golf game and adventure hike look like fun - Tom knows all the best places to go!

I know Mom and Dad are happy you and Missy are close and keep up the important tradition! I do that, too! I mean I always wear blue on game day. I feel that it's my contribution to their win and that if I don't do it, they'll lose. I'm weird!
