"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

TSO - The Lost Christmas Eve

Tom has wanted to go to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert
for a long time. I wasn't sure I would enjoy
the "hard rock" head banging Christmas music but since it was almost his birthday, I thought we ought to make his wish come true.
We were all set when a friend gave us free tickets on the floor at
the "Taco Bell Arena".
The set was amazing. It was a building with a computerized projection that would change with the music.

The light show and special effects were incredible!
Of course the stage was on hydraulics and would raise and lower.

Does it look like Tom is having a good time?
I didn't realize that the show had a story. It was as well done as any Broadway show complete with a narrator and real snow falling from the ceiling.

The musicians were all very talented. 4 guitarists, 8 vocalists (4 men and 4 women), 2 amazing keyboard players, a violinist, and the Boise strings quartet.

Every rock concert has to have flames, fire and indoor fireworks!

No wonder the arena was almost sold out.  The concert was very entertaining.
It is a BIG hit in Boise and the numbers grow every year.
Tom and I both commented how rare it is to go to a "hard rock" concert where you don't have to worry about foul language, etc.
I have to admit that I really enjoyed it and wouldn't mind going back next year.
Especially if the tickets are free!

I guess we're just a couple of middle aged "heavy metal head bangers" after all.
