Boise has had a steady week of cooler temperatures and off and on rain showers and the moist and cooler weather has made for beautiful green lawns and the flowers in my yard are looking beautiful! Speaking of flowers I got these beautiful flowers for Mother's Day from Tom and from Eva.
And speaking of Mother's Day, Tom took me to Richard's Cafe Vicino for dinner the night before Mother's Day.
It may be the best restaurant in town.
I had the Halibut and it was delicious!
My cute date.
Taylor and Colton heading to church on Mother's Day on the scooter.
In Taylor's words "The scooter gang led me to get a heart shaped tattoo of mom and because of mom, we still ride". Brings tears to your eyes doesn't it?
I was feeling pretty nostalgic on Mother's Day when I found these cute pictures of my Mom. She also loved a picnic! I love and miss my Mom, it's hard to believe she's been gone almost 14 years.
Tom, Devin and Taylor were the chefs for our Mother's Day feast.
We had marinated barbecued steak and shrimp, coconut rice, caprese and fruit salad, crescent rolls, and chocolate covered strawberries. Yum!
My friend gave me some rhubarb so what do you do with rhubarb?
Make rhubarb pie of course.
The perfect treat for Mother's Day.
For mutual, in honor of Mother's Day,
we had a mani/pedi night for all the
Maurel's (combined Laurel and Mia Maid class)
mothers complete with chocolate fondue.
They look like they liked it
And after 15 years of teaching piano lessons, I had my annual Spring piano recital. I taught 13 students this year and they all did well memorizing one solo performance piece and then learning a duet which they played with yours truly.
And now on to summer and more gardening, swimming,
camping and family get togethers.

I loved this post, especially your beautiful flowers and the pictures of Mother. For some reason I'm now craving rhubarb pie.
Me, too, Kay, I love rhubarb pie (reminds me of Mom and Dad) and I can't remember when I had it last. Yours looks so good! Sounds like you had a good Mother's Day and I would have liked to be at your recital!
Wow! You've been having a great month of May. Your Mother's Day meal sounds amazing-- I wish I'd had your pie!
I love this post - especially the sweet pictures and memories of mom! I too am now craving rhubarb pie!!
I'm not wild about rhubarb pie (hit me with banana cream!) but I like the rest of the post. You sure have a good husband!
We're fans of Cafe Vicino but have you been to Luciano's?? Might be our new favorite! YUM! Hope you had a wonderful mother's day!
