"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Jampacked June

Our crazy June continued with lots of fun activities.
Our Young Women had another baking fundraiser to raise funds for Girl's Camp. This time we made Father's day cookies and this time it was at my house.
Just look at all those cookies we had to decorate.
It was a lot of work, but the girls did a great job!
Go Kassidy

 Didn't they turn out cute??
I also got to attend the circus this month with Sophie, Eva and Sarah!
The kids LOVED it.
It kind of went on and on and they didn't want to leave.
The day before Father's Day, our stake organized
an interdenominational Service day.
Tom and I were assigned to assist at the Boise Rescue Mission's warehouse
We sorted through male and female clothing to find clothing for the homeless to wear to job interviews. It was a worthwhile project.
Tom wanted to keep this outfit
For Father's day, we invited Charlie and Lucille, and Devin and Sarah's family over for dinner.
Devin had requested Taylor to make "chimi's" for Father's Day
A chimi is a Dominican hamburger
Here's the chef
Tom requested sloppy joes and banana cream pie,
so we had a rather unorthodox Father's Day meal,
but at least the fathers got their wishes
I had the opportunity to go up to Cascade with some of my friends for a GNO
Who knew that old ladies had GNO's??
On our way up we stopped to visit a friend in our ward who spends the
summer up at an RV park in Cascade.
She was so happy to see us!
We also checked out the Girl's camp location,
so by the time we made it to our friend's cabin it was time for dinner.
We drove to McCall and ate up on the roof of the McCall Brewing Company.

Some pics of the cabin in Cascade.
It had a beautiful view of the lake.

Delicious breakfast group shot

Some of us went on a beautiful morning walk
We found some syringa, Idaho's state flower, on our walk

After our walk we had lunch and then headed back to Boise
It was a really fun and relaxing time
That weekend we headed down to Utah so we could attend our
Lyman Conrad Gabrielsen, Sr.
 Family Reunion in Draper
It was so fun being with all our family and getting reacquainted
This is my cousin David with my Aunt Nedra
Here's Aunt Gary
Patty and Hal and Tom
Aunt Grace and Aunt Nedra
I was so glad we made the effort to attend the reunion
We have been blessed with such a great heritage and it is so great rubbing shoulders with these wonderful people!

You have had a jam-packed June! Those cookies are so cute and such a great idea to pass out for Father's Day. That looked like a fun trip to McCall- I haven't been there for so long Glad I got to see you at the reunion and so glad it is still carrying on so we can see our Gabrielsen aunts and cousins.

Those cookies are so cute! You are a good sport to open your kitchen as the bakery.
Your GNO sounds so fun and McCall is so pretty in the summer - I miss going there. The Gabrielsen reunion turned out to be fun - it was good to see everyone. I am so glad that youo came!

Great Father's Day gift idea! You are a good sport to let the girls use your kitchen as the bakery! Your GNO looks like a lot of fun - in such a beautiful place!
