"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Super Summer Saturday

Last Saturday was a busy one for us. We had to get up bright and early to help with the BYU 5K Fun Run and breakfast. We had a good turnout again this year , around 125,
but not quite as many people as last, 225.
We always invite the incoming freshman to come to our event for FREE breakfast.
We introduced them and there were about 14 of the 300 there.
On your mark, get set, GO!

The faithful volunteer blue pancake makers!

After the breakfast, I hurried up to Hidden Springs to see Eva in her first swim meet.
Tommy loved the oranges left over from our breakfast.
Eva swam in 3 events and did really well.

Future olympian!
After doing some home improvement projects, Tom and I went on a bikeride on the greenbelt.
We stopped at the Rose Garden in Julia Davis park.  The roses were all in bloom and were so pretty.
We thought of you Jon and Sara and your engagement at the Rose Garden.

Cheesy selfie on the bridge

Tom took me to dinner later that night for my birthday.
We went to Bonefish Grill and I had a delicious salmon dish with free dessert, flourless macadamia nut brownie with vanilla ice cream.  It was so YUMMY!

Sunday was my actual birthday and Tom made me a delicious breakfast of bullseye eggs and fresh fruit before I had to leave for ward council.
After church, Taylor made me a delicious mango smoothie.
I am one lucky girl!
Sarah and Devin had us up for dinner.
We had a delicious dinner of raclette.
I think Taylor was lobbying hard for a taste of Europe.

Last but not least was this delicious birthday cake.
A 10 layer German chocolate cake.
It was beautiful inside and out!

It was a super Summer Saturday and Sunday!
