"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

MLK Day Adventure!

So what do you do when there's a bunch of snow on the ground?
You head to the hills and play in it!
On MLK day we got up early and drove up to Cascade and hiked/slid into Trail Creek hotsprings.
At 9 in the morning it was only 7 degrees, but the hot spring felt wonderful!
Getting in was the hard part

You can see that there's a lot of snow on the ground, but isn't that blue sky beautiful?

It's pretty tricky taking a selfie in a hot spring

Tom was brave and got into the river and sat on a snow covered rock.
Too cold for me.

Look, I made it up the hill from the hot springs!
After our soak in the hot spring we drove to my favorite cross country ski trail outside of Cascade.
We had to eat our picnic in the car because it was a little chilly outside,
but it was enjoyed none the less.

 My cute ski buddy
We even made it home by 4 just in time to teach piano lessons.
It was a great snowy adventure!

Look at you two cute empty nesters making the most of all that snow and cuddling up for some hot nookie in the hot springs!!! Granny from Dante's Peak would be so proud!
