March has come and gone but it's time to blog before I forget what happened.
This beautiful double rainbow appeared above our house one rainy spring morning just in time for St. Patrick's day. Just wish I could have found the pot of gold at the end of it.
We had a a great time at an Escape room in March with some of our friends.
For those who don't know what an escape room is, they lock you in a room with hidden keys and you have to solve the puzzles to get out and you have 1 hour.
It was super fun and we solved all the puzzles right at the last minute.
As you can tell, our Escape room had a pirate theme.
We had our New Beginnings in March.
We get 1 new Beehive this year so waited for her to turn 12.
We based our decorations on the mutual theme :"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God" in James 1:5-6. It was a very nice evening.
and I immediately remembered where that shirt had come from.
Isn't his Dad pretty cute wearing it?
The end of March was filled with travel.
Sara and Jon flew me to Denver to watch their kids for a weekend.
I arrived on a Thursday and Sara and I both needed pedicures, so we went to our favorite nail spa and got a pedicure.
Sara and Jon left on Friday for their little getaway.
Wouldn't you know it snowed that night that I think changed their plans somewhat, but we still had a good time.
I took the kids to Sky Zone, which is a trampoline park.
They were only there for an hour, but got some great exercise.
Afterwards, they were starving so we went to Chick Fil A for lunch,
I felt so brave driving around Parker with my 4 charges
That afternoon we had an epic Barbie party which was Leah's dream come true.
We even left Zach in charge during Elizabeth's nap and took a walk around the block.
The next day we headed to the Colorado Wildlife museum.
We first watched the IMAX movie called Blue Planet
Elizabeth and Leah lasted about 10 minutes so we played in the hall while Zach and Lucy finished the movie.
After the movie we walked through all the exhibits on the wildlife in Colorado and around the world.
It was really well done
I don't know if you can see the large manta rays swimming over the top of the kids, but that is why they are laying on the ground.
On the way home from the zoo, we stopped at McDonald's for a treat,
That afternoon we went on another walked and look who we ran into.
Pretty cool Colorado!
Lucy made some cupcakes for a Harry Potter party she was hosting.
She is quite the baker.
Sara and Jon got home on Saturday night, so on Monday, Jon watched the kids so Sara and I could do some shopping.
We had lunch at Torchy's Tacos.
They were so good.
I flew back to Boise on Tuesday.
Got all my wash done on Wednesday and on Thursday at 5 am I hopped in the car and drove down to Provo for my semi annual BYU board meetings.
I got there in time for lunch and look who joined us?
I love Cosmo.
We had lunch with some of the replenishment grant recipients and BYU student alumni reps, and BYUSA members.
It was so nice visiting with such sharp BYU students.
That evening, Taylor joined me for dinner and Brad Wilcox was the featured speaker.
He spoke about having a sense of humor and how important it is in our lives.
After the Fireside, Taylor hurried home to change,
I got checked into my hotel and we met at Taylor's coed soccer game.
I love to see Taylor play sports.
He is an amazing athlete.
Taylor and Colton have been roommates at BYU all 5 years.
Taylor has known Colton since kindergarten so he is like a part of our family.
It is fun to watch them play sports together.
We had more meetings all morning on Friday, and the Farewell luncheon for all those retiring from the board and on Friday afternoon we got a tour of the images of Christ display at the Museum of Art by the Art curator.
It was wonderful to hear him teach us about the paintings.
This one of Christ teaching in the temple is one of my favorites.
That evening we got tickets to BYU's production of Chariots of Fire
We picked up Taylor's date and went to dinner at Zupa's and then went to the play.
It was so good.
Saturday morning I got back in the car and drove home while listening to General Conference.
It was a manic March but with lots of very worthwhile experiences.

Wow! You sure keep busy. You do so much good in this world!
Love those two cute boys in that vintage shirt! You sure stay on the go, Joan! It was March mania! You have lots of fun pics to remind you of your activities, travel and fun with your family.
Thanks so much for babysitting! I'm amazed you did as much as you did with all 4 kids in tow. That is no easy task. You will miss having a student to visit at BYU I bet, when you still have all your meetings to go to. Hopefully Lucy with be there 8 years from now and you can visit her.;)
