Sarah P has been itching to go snow shoeing, so Devin stayed home with the kids and the 3 of us headed for the hills.
We drove up to Cascade for one last winter adventure!
We started our adventure on the banks of Cascade lake, cross country skiing.
It was so pretty!
Tom is a pro!
Then we drove up the mountain to Warm Lake.
The snow on the side of the road was seriously 12 feet high.
There is a ton of snow in them thar hills.
We strapped on our snow shoes and walked into Warm Lake.
We were there last summer and had a blast playing on this rope swing.
Now the lake is frozen with lots of snow on top.
It was so pretty.
The sun even came out just in time for our picnic.
We found a rock to sit on and it was perfect!
Tom on top of a huge rock with the forest fire burned trees in the back ground.
We walked back out to our car
and we drove up to Trail Creek hotsprings.
There were already 5 cars and a van in the parking lot.
I stayed in the car and read and Sarah and Tom hiked into the hotsprings.
Next time you see them, ask them about their hot springs companions.
It's another good story that Tom can tell his grandkids someday.

I'm concerned about the title of your post. Please change it to "One Last Adventure FOR JOAN in the Snow" because I am not done just yet. Wouldn't it be fun if we could do this kind of stuff every weekend?
Tom Tom and his women.... that should be the title of this post. When is TOm TOm taking LP to the mountains, hmmmm? I think I'm literally the only one who hasn't been in the last decade.... at least. Last time was when I was a poor, traumatized 8 year old trying to make my way down Bogus Basin on skis, I think. Thanks for nothing.
I love that header pic of you guys! You sure do know how to have grand outdoor adventures together!
No! You can't leave me hanging. I want to hear about the hot springs adventure. How fun to have Sarah with you. She is so fun! Sounds like "famous last words" LAST. I've heard that here before and we've had several snow storms since.
