"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

We love Los Cabos!

Tom and I were looking for a winter getaway last fall and found a screaming deal on airline tickets to Cabo  and then we found a beautiful resort we could exchange for through RCI, so voila, we planned our trip to Paradise.
I of course start every vacation with a trip to get a pedicure.
We traveled Monday to Monday which decreased our flight costs plus we had plenty of room on the airplane.
We arrived in Cabo San Lucas, bought some groceries and headed to our beautiful resort,
the Hacienda Del Mar.
We got up on Tuesday morning and took a walk along our beach.

One of the many pools at the resort.

I love this picture of Tom rock climbing.
The clouds frame him perfectly and the waves were crashing on cue.

We spent the day at the beach and we had it pretty much to ourselves except for a few
Mexican seagulls who wanted to eat our lunch.
We went snorkeling.

and picnicking.
For dinner we went to Cabo and walked along the marina.
This fisherman was cutting up his catch of the day and these sea lions
were there for the leftovers.
We ate at the Hacienda Cocina right on the ocean.
What a treat!
The food is amazing and the view can't be beat.
Mocajete

and the best churros with caramel and chocolate dipping sauce for dessert.

We got back to our resort just in time for the fiesta complete with a pinata
so Tom got to bust open the pinata.

The next morning we went on another beautiful walk.
We explored the golf course and the homes up above the resort.
The resort's fire pit is right on the beach.
Another pool
We relaxed at the pool and went to Costco.

We took a walk along the beach and the wind was really blowing so the waves were crashing.

We went to Desperados for dinner in Cabo.
I love me some Limonada
We shared this plate of nachos.
Whoa that's a lot of food.
Another morning another walk,
but as you can tell by the sky, we had some rain clouds coming in.

We got our walk in just in time and then the rain started falling.
We spent the day in San Jose del Cabo where we drove to Flora Farms
What a unique place.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch!
It's a farm to table experience.
That night we walked around Cabo and enjoyed some street tacos.
Tom's favorite~
Yay for blue skies!
The next day we had gorgeous weather on our morning walk.

We spent the day at Palmilla beach in San Jose del Cabo.

What a perfect spot!

We enjoyed another fabulous picnic!
The view of the beaches and hotels in San Jose del Cabo.

That night we had Italian food at Savatores which had live entertainment, a harpist.
That lasagne could have fed us for a week.
The lasagne was good, but the highlight of the meal was the bruschetta.
The best we've ever had, including in Florence.
Aren't the flowers gorgeous?
We walked out to the gate at our resort on Saturday morning.
We went to the Medano beach in the morning, you can see los Arcos behind Tom
We had our own private piece of paradise.

Tom  went golfing in the afternoon and I hung out at our resort's pool.
That night for dinner we went to Isabel's.
Another delicious fish dinner.
Tom had pork carnitas

Sunday morning, we went to church.
We always enjoy going wherever we are.
We didn't understand the language much but definitely felt the spirit.
After church we got in the car and drove north towards
Todos Santos.
We stopped at Cerritos beach along the way
Beautiful!

We ate lunch in Todos Santos and looked around,
then drove back towards Cabo and checked out some more beaches.

We waded in the ocean
and Tom bought a popsicle.
We had dinner at our resort.
It was a delicious Mexican buffet.
I forgot to take a picture of the food, but this is the courtyard where the buffet was set up.
This picture of a saint hanging upside down is in the hotel lobby.
He is supposed to bring good luck to single women, so I touched his hand
and sent a picture to Whitney.
Monday morning we got up and took our last morning walk on the beach.

The sunrise was so pretty!

Farewell Hacienda Del Mar,
we hope to see you again soon!
We stopped at another beach on our way to the airport

Adios Mexico!
