"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

2019 Here we come!

We started off the new year with a beautiful hike in the Boise foothills on New Year's day.
Our friend and neighbor, Patricia, joined us as we hiked the Pole Cat trail up above Boise.
It was cold, but not much snow on the ground.

There was lots of much needed sunshine.
We spent the rest of New Year's day watching football games and playing games with
Devin and Sarah and family.
I made homemade pizza and other finger foods for our New Year's party.
Whitney didn't have to leave to go back to Utah
until the day after New Year's, so we went to the nail salon
and got a pedicure.
I love spending time with this girl!
The weekend after New Year's, Tom and I headed back up to the hills
for a snowshoe adventure.
We drove up towards Lowman and stopped along the Deadwood River
and had a beautiful hike along the river.
Of course it included a delicious picnic!
Tom found this homemade cross close to where we ate our picnic.
We are assuming a family pet was buried there.

We are getting dang good at taking selfies ;)
