November was a month of celebration and a month to get some projects accomplished.
I finished this quilt as a Christmas gift for Patty.
She and I purchased the fabric scraps at a quilt store in Kona.
I told her
I'd make a quilt as a remembrance of their temple mission to Kona.
This is a cute quilt Whitney made for me.
I had my friend machine quilt it and it turned out beautifully.
I made Lucy this crocheted blanket for her 12th birthday.
It is a YW values blanket.
I hope it keeps her warm and cozy.
Tom and I had a nontraditional Thanksgiving.
We were alone for the holiday,
so we drove up to McCall the day before Thanksgiving
and stayed in a hotel.
We got up early on Thanksgiving morning
and took a walk in Ponderosa State park.
It was beautiful and the falling snow made it even more beautiful!
The lake wasn't frozen yet and there wasn't much snow on the ground.
We even saw some deer enjoying their Thanksgiving feast
We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Shore Lodge.
The food was delicious but you kind of
feel like losers with just the two of you eating Thanksgiving in a restaurant.
This is Tom's sad face
Tom had the turkey plate and I had the prime rib which was delicious!
This pecan pie with brandied whip cream was yummy!
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I got all our Christmas decorations up.
I thought I'd take a picture to remember where I put everything.

Tom's birthday is always right around Thanksgiving.
This year he celebrated by taking a day off and going on a mountain adventure
to some hot springs.
His favorite way to celebrate.
We also went out to dinner at PF Chang
Where they give you this cute little dessert if it's your birthday.
We had Devin's family and our neighbors over
for banana cream pie
Party!
On to December where the party never ends.

You are amazing, Joan! Mother would be so proud of you! We had a non-traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas, too, but why not, right? You two look so cute exploring the great outdoors together! Your Christmas decorations look beautiful!
