"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Cousin Camp

We love it when the Cardon's come for a visit. After the family reunion Jonathan drove back to Colorado with a U haul full of some of our extra furniture. Sara and the kids stayed for a week and boy did we stay busy.
We used to live right by Delsa's and it was a tradition to walk over and get ice cream.
We had to drive over but it was fun just the same.

We also went to the new Spiderman movie.

We visited the Discovery Center in downtown Boise.

We swam at the Hidden Springs Pool

and at Eagle Island

where of course we had a picnic
The kids love the water slide
We painted rocks
and Lucy dipped strawberries for our Tea party.
and we swam some more!
The tea party was a brilliant success!

These two cousins are the best of friends and always have a hard time saying goodbye.
I drove with Sara and the kids on Saturday afternoon
and we headed back to Colorado via Utah where we all stayed the night with Whitney.
First stop once we got back to Colorado was to go see the model home
that Sara and Jon are building.
Their home is going to be beautiful.
We also visited the Colorado History museum

 Sunsets are beautiful in Colorado
I neglected to mention something else Sara and I did while she was
home in Boise.
She helped me painted this dresser and my headboard.
She is so good at chalk painting, we got it done in a day.
We can't wait until next cousin camp.

Oh, Joan, your family reunion looks so fun! It is so heart-warming to watch cousins play together and love each other! You have so many cute shots and I love your family pics in the meadow. The lighting is so soft and mellow and you all look so good. I forsee a great Christmas card!

I love the dresser and headboard. It inspires me to do something with Grandma's wooden chair.
