"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Capital Invitational 2009

Taylor competed in the Capital Invitational tennis tournament this past weekend. Twenty eight teams from Idaho, Utah, Oregon and Washington came to Boise to participate in the tournament hosted by Capital High school. Taylor and Nick played #1 boy's doubles and won all 3 of their matches on Friday and then beat Skyline in the quarter finals, 6-0, 6-0, Borah in the semi-finals, 6-3, 6-1, then lost to Boise in the championship match 6-4, 7-5. They played great and they received a Prince tennis back pack for getting 2nd place. Go Taylo!!

Congrats to Beano! But it did seem like he ran out of gas (no pun intended) in that championship match. Maybe 3 straight hours of bouncing up and down in the moshpit at the school Techno dance the night before wasn't the best preparation for a championship run. Maybe he can blog us on that little secret someday.
