This last week was Homecoming week at Capital High School. Each day had a theme and Taylor went all out and dressed accordingly. Moday was "Cowboy day" and Taylor wore a Grandpa Charlie felt hat and took the stick horse Whitney made at girl's camp, Tuesday was "80's day", thus the neon colors and leg warmers, Wednesday was "super-hero day" and Taylor went as "Free Willy"? Thursday was "crazy hair/hat day" and Taylor wore a white shirt and tie and slicked down his hair and parted it on the side and went as a missionary, and Friday was "Spirit day" so he wore his Capital spirit stuff. I went to the pep assembly on Friday morning and they had Taylor do an fruit roll eating contest. He didn't win, but came in second (thanks Devin for your good influence). He was nominated for the Homecoming court so he was presented at the halftime of the Capital vs. Centennial football game (Capital won 50-6). He didn't win but may I add that the cute "Mormon" girl with the modest dress (the only one) won Homecoming Queen. It was AWESOME! Saturday, their daytime date was to the Capital district soccer game (one of the kids in their group plays on the soccer team) and then they had lunch at Panda (guess who's idea that was?).
They took pictures before the dance at a pretty waterfall and all the girls were freezing (I wonder why?). They had dinner at Tucano's which Taylor now says is his favorite restaurant (lots of meat). He said the dance was "not that fun" and then they had chocolate fountain dessert at a friend's house after the dance. I don't think Taylor thinks the whole thing was worth all the "hoorah" and money. ;) Oh well, it's his last one.

Great pictures. I love his 80's outfit! My favorites are the ones of the two of you on the field. Taylor: handsome. Joan: Beautiful.
All I have to say is if Taylor ever has aspirations of competing on the Sci-Fi channel classic "Who Wants to Be a Superhero," Taylor better come up with something more imaginative than Free Willy. Wait do you hear that?!? If you listen very carefully you can hear Hygena and Whip-Snap laughing right now...

I wonder why Taylor doesn't date the cute modest mormon girl who won Homecoming Queen?? Jon and I laughed out loud at his Free Willy costume, and Lucy was confused on what "Taylo being for Halloween?"
I am impressed the only girl in the modest dress won! They always taught us "modest is hottest!" Taylor looked very GQ!
I can't believe it's already his last one. Sounds like a pretty fun week with all the themed days.
I think the "Free Willy" costume is my favorite. How fun. I agree with Tricia . . . Taylor DID look very GQ. And you look very pretty. It's funny to see the popular style of girl's formal dresses these days. It's FALL for heaven's sake! You'd think they'd want to stay a BIT warmer. I guess practicality wasn't the first thing on their minds. Silly girls. :)
What a handsome young man! Looks like he had a wonderful Homecoming week, dressing up and doing all of the fun activities including the dance :)
