Every fall, for the last 25 years it has been a tradition to drive out to Sunny Slope in Canyon county and get apples at Williamson's Orchard. I used to go with my Mom and Dad every fall. We'd make the beautiful drive to the orchard, buy a couple of boxes of apples, and then stop for lunch somewhere along the way and then enjoy a delicious crisp apple for dessert. Since my Mom and Dad are no longer able to go with me, my niece Missy has joined the traditional trek to Williamson's. We schedule a time usually the second week in October when we can drive out and buy the delicious apples (specifically the Honey Crisp, they are sooo good!)and we drive over together and buy apples, pumpkins, squash and anything else that looks good. We brought Ellie along this year. She loved playing on the pumpkins and the wooden old fashioned truck. We found a cute restaurant in Marsing and had lunch and then headed back to Boise. It is so fun to continue this wonderful fall tradition.

It looks like a beautiful trip. I'm so glad Missy can go with you now.
What a fun outing to celebrate fall :) It looks like you guys had a great time. By the way, where and how far is Sunny Slope?
That looks like such a fun trip! I can't wait until we have some nice weather so we can go get a pumpkin with Adam.
Sunny Slope is right outside Marsing which is about 30 minutes south of Caldwell. It is about an hour drive from Boise.
I can't believe how big Ellie is-- I didn't even recognize her. How come I've never been to Sunny Slope?? What happened to me during those 18 years when I lived with you?? Guess I got left at home.
You were in school Sara! Next time you are home in the fall, I promise you a trip to Sunny Slope.
Ellie looks so big! What a fun outing!
I never knew about this tradition, it sounds so fun. Don't you just love fall and the traditions it brings?
Oh, how fun! Ellie is a pretty darn cute little girl. Why no pictures of you or Missy? You gotta love fall!
I love the pumpkin patch! I think Lucy needs to move closer so you can take her!
What a delightful tradition. I shich I could come along. :)
Oh! We soooo missed getting our peaches this year!
