I got a wonderful Mother's Day Surprise! I woke up on Friday morning and looked out my front window and saw a cute little Hyundai car sitting out front. I thought, whoa, that looks like Whitney's car. Sure enough, Whitney drove home from Provo on Thursday night and surprised me. I was so happy!
We did a little shopping on Friday and on Friday night we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
After dinner, Whitney and I met her friend "Trex" at the Boise Music Week production of the King and I. Some of our friends were in the production so I really wanted to go and support them. The play was very well done, just very long...
Saturday we went hiking in the foothills and Tom and I worked in the yard all day. Whitney helped us plant flowers at Grandma and Grandpa Morris' house for Grandma's mother's day gift.
Sunday Whitney and Tom prepared a gourmet meal of Baked Coconut crusted shrimp, coconut rice and a mango-pineapple salsa. It was so good.
For dessert, I got a delicious chocolate mousse. It was so good. I will dream about how good that chocolate mousse was.
The best treat of the day was when we got to talk to Elder Morris. He sounded so good and so like a missionary, complete with the missionary cadence and Spanish accent. Oh, how I love that boy and I am so proud of how he is working so hard! It was a great Mother's Day weekend.
