"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Up and out of the Inversion

Boise has been socked in an inversion for the past couple of weeks where temperatures hover between 0 and 15 degrees F. So on Martin Luther King day, Tom and I drove north to find some blue skies. We drove up to Hasbrouk Ranch outside of Cascade and had a wonderful day cross country skiing plus a picnic. What could be better?

It was still pretty cold up in the mountains (0 degrees when we started skiing) but it was so nice to see the sunshine and blue sky.

A lovely picture of the two of us. We even got sunburned!
We had to hurry back to Boise so I could teach piano lessons at 3:30, but it was definitely worth the drive. I am so ready for some warmer weather.

Good idea heading to the hills. I used to hate those inversions! So depressing!
