"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

April showers bring trips to the Owyhee dessert and other random events

It has been pretty boring around here since we returned from our Spring break adventure.
Spring isn't the best of seasons in Idaho with lots of wind and erratic temperatures. But we've tried to stay entertained. Our ward had a talent show a couple of weeks ago. The master of ceremonies were three priest age brothers. They were pretty funny, especially when they dressed up like the Bishopric and introduced each act. You can see the Bishop there on the left.
Tom and I headed out to the Owyhee dessert a couple of Saturdays ago on a hike.
The wind was howling, but the sun was shining and it was fun to see some new territory.

Unfortunately it was so windy, we had to picnic in the car :()
Who knew that Idaho had all these crazy rock formations?
It was a fun 5 mile hike and just nice to get away.

With General Conference and then Stake Conference, we've had to stick close to home on our April Saturdays. I have a feeling that is all going to change this Saturday and I'm looking forward to May.

I'll come too! I nominate dad to pack the baby in. Our weather has been erratic too-- really rainy and cold and then back to 80 degrees. Spring. Sheesh.
