"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Going to Carolina in the Spring!

A few weeks ago, I flew out to North Carolina to
spend some time with the Cardon's.
It was so fun being in North Carolina in the spring time.
The trees and bushes were all in bloom and it was beautiful.
Plus, those 3 Cardon kids were pretty cute too!

We spend a lot of time in the car doing Mom stuff when
I come to visit but these kids are troopers.
Sara took me to dinner on Friday night at a
yummy flat bread pizza place.
I tended the kids so Jon and Sara could have a little getaway.
They went to Myrtle Beach for the day and the kids did great!
We played in the yard

Took a McDonald's picnic to the park
Leah LOVES to swing
And took Lucy to tennis lessons.
On Sunday after church, we spent some more time out in the
yard jumping on the trampoline.
Plus I got to take a walk with these two little cuties!
Lunch at Jimmy John's on Monday
Zachy and the pirate face.
On Tuesday, we pulled the kids out of school and headed to South Carolina and Myrtle Beach. It was a gorgeous day and we had so much fun!

It was "Beach Week" at Myrtle beach, which means about 500 kids from Duke University and Yale were on the beach.
They walked back and forth trying to impress each other.

Leah loved the surf and sand!
I love that little Jackolatern grin.

Lucy's sand castle before Zach destroyed it!
Such a cute Mom!
I forgot to bring a swim suit, so I had to improvise.

Sara and I love to go to lunch when I'm there. Here's Zachy eating his cupcake from Panera.
Leah had some too!
North Carolina has awesome antique stores.
We found some awesome treasures and filled up the back of Sara's van.
Cute green door for Sara's someday house.
I finally found a chandelier for my bathroom.
Cute little bench just Leah's size

I got to go to Zachy's baseball games.
He was so cute and it brought back lots of memories of
attending Devin and Taylor's games from year's past.

After the game we went out for one of my favorite treats.
Yum Rita's!!

I watched Leah one morning so Sara could go get a haircut.
Her hair is so cute!
The last night I was there I got to go to Lucy's 1st grade music program.
It was really cute. Each class was a different barnyard animal.
Lucy's class were cows.
The Cardon family after the concert with Sara and Zachy's new haircuts.
I loved my time in Carolina!
I can't wait until my next visit!

What a great time of year to visit! Your grandkids are all so cute! I think Leah looks a lot like I remember you looking as a toddler - I don't know if it is her smile or her eyes or both. How fun to go to Myrtle Beach together - I'm sure the kids loved it. I really like Sara's haircut!
