"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Marching into March

One of our favorite yearly activities is the High school boy's basketball state tournament.  It is held at the Idaho Center out in Nampa every year.
We love to go even when our local team, Capital isn't even playing.
This year Capital made it to the state tournament and we went out on Thursday night to watch them play Skyline High from Idaho Falls.
Capital played great and won the game which put them in the semifinals on Friday night against Post Falls.

Tom took his Dad and met Devin and Eva at the state tournament on Friday night to cheer Capital on.  Unfortunately Capital lost to Post Falls.
Sarah, Sophie and I met up at the Nampa Civic Center for the ballet!
The BYU Theatre Ballet company performed on Friday night on the first night of their tour. We went out early so Sophie could have her picture taken with all the princesses.

 Aren't they beautiful??
Their performance was wonderful.
They invited all the young aspiring ballerinas onto the stage at
Intermission to dance along with them.
After the performance, I brought 3 of the ballet company
back to our house for the night.
It was fun having Lexi and Chandler, ballerinas, and Jackie, the sound engineer.
What great examples of BYU!
Later on Saturday I got to attend Eva's gymnastics meet.
She did so well and even got a medal which she wore to church the next day.

 Her group receiving their awards.

I'm so happy Devin and Sarah are here in
Boise so I can attend these special events.
Saturday night we were back out at the Idaho Center for the
championship game of Post Falls vs. Highland from Pocatello.
It was a great game.  Post Falls won.
One last photo from our Young women activity.
We had a "campfire therapy" session,
where the girls wrote out their frustrations on papers
and then we burned them in the fire.
The girls really enjoyed the stress relief.
You never know what those Boise Mountain View Ward "Maurels"
(combined Laurel and Miamaid class)
are going to do.  I love working with these girls!

What fun activities! It's fun for me to see pictures of those cute kids and watch them grow, too. I love the "burn your stress" idea.
