"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Southern Food Fest aka King Cake Party!!

The end of February deserves a family get together so in keeping with
the Mardi Gras, we had our annual "King Cake" party.
Of course we had delicious southern food.
Southern appetizer, fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy,
shrimp and cheesy grits, biscuits, salad and lemonade.
YUM!
The kid's table that Jared says he's too big to sit at ;)

The adult's table with some pretty fun adults
We let Claire sit at the adult's table.
Our King Cake cupcakes

Sam found the baby!
He only had to eat 3 cupcakes to find it.
Looks like Missy will be hosting our King Cake party next year!

The Smiths love that party every year! Wish we lived closer and we would show up with our Marti Gras masks on!

Looks like a great King Cake Party and the menu sounds so yummy. I wish we could have been there to be part of the fun adults!

Looks like fun! Your food sounds delish! Better than the Dickey's we actually have here in the South, ha, ha!

Let's hear it for the King Cake party! Next year, we are doing a parade down Bourbon Street (there has to be a Bourbon Street somewhere in Boise).
