"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Grandbaby Number 7!

The night before I flew to Denver to help with Sara's new baby, I had all the young women over to my house to watch the "Face to Face" broadcast with Elder Rasband, and the General YM and YW leaders. I love having the YW in my home and it was a great broadcast.

I arrived in Colorado on a Thursday, so Sara and I had time to do some preparations, like grocery shopping, etc before her induction on Sunday evening.
Lucy was my walking buddy.

Leah went horseback riding at Walmart.
Isn't that what you do in Colorado?
I stayed with the kids on Sunday night and Jon and Sara headed to the hospital.
Around 11 am on Monday morning, baby Elizabeth Mid (stands for Mildred, Jon's grandma's name) Cardon was born at 6 lbs. 15 oz.

I picked the kids up after school and we headed to the hospital in Lone Tree.

I brought Sara and Elizabeth home from the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
There's nothing sweeter than a newborn baby.

While I was in Colorado, I had a project going on at my house.
I got the stairway in our entryway painted.  I love how it turned out!

We got to babysit Tommy on Monday when I got home from Colorado.
It's amazing how fast these babies are growing up.

There is no sweeter moment than when we hold those new grandbabies in our arms! Don't they smell wonderful? I'll bet those little Cardon kids loved having Grandma Joan take care of them, as well as their new mommy. Congratulations to all!
