"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Springing down to Provo!

Last weekend I road tripped it down to Provo for the semi -annual BYU Alumni board meetings.
The board meetings didn't start until Thursday afternoon,
so I got up early on Thursday morning  and drove south.
Thursday night I got to have dinner with two of my favorite Cougars, Taylor and Cosmo!
Friday after having meetings all day, we got a tour of the Student Athlete building on campus.
I recognized this as the football team meeting room from "Inside BYU Football".
We were so excited when Kalani Sitake showed up to talk to us!
He was so humble and really impressed me with his vision for the BYU football program.
My friend Susan and I taking a selfie with the "band of brothers"
The missionary wall in the football offices that shows where all the missionaries are serving throughout the world.
Gotta love the royal blue! I guess they are adding it back in as one of the BYU team colors.

The chapter directors on the Alumni Board. From left to right,
Greg Drennan (So. Cal), Bryan Hardman (Denver), Karen Bybee (Washington DC), Jane Densley (Portland), Susan Hunter (Ohio), Ken Hunt, VP over Chapter directors (Oklahoma), me, and Pete Richards (Atlanta)
4 of the 8 were retired at this board meeting and we will miss them!
(each director serves for 4 years, my term ends in 2018)
The remaining 4 of us are now chapter directors over entire time zones.
I'll be in charge of the mountain time zone so will be adding 5 Alumni chapters to look after.

Provo was so pretty in it's Spring greenery.
I never tire of this view!
Friday night after my meetings ended, Taylor took me to the BYU vs. Utah rugby match

I couldn't get over the view from the stadium
BYU won big! (you gotta love when the Cougars beat the Utes)

 Look at my cute date!
The presentation of the Wasatch Cup
I got up early on Saturday morning and drove back to Boise and
listened to General Conference on the way home.
It was a quick trip

Well, Bronco would be happy they are putting the royal blue back, but now he's not even there to enjoy it. You look so nice in your official uniform.

Boy that was a quick trip! Next time you'd better make time to stop and eat at Bombay House. Just for old times' sake!
