September ended with a bang.
Sophie Joan's birthday is September 27 and Sophie turned 6 years old this year.
We have a tradition of going to lunch together, then to the toy store to pick out a toy, then to the cupcake store to pick out a cupcake.
This little girl loves bubble gum cupcakes.
Sarah made Sophie this cake to celebrate her special day
Sarah is an amazing photographer and hadn't had a chance to take Tommy's 1 year old birthday pics, so we headed outside and I helped entertain Tommy while Sarah shot some pics of Tommy enjoying his cake smash.
The youth in our ward headed to the temple to do temple baptisms at the end of September.
We have awesome youth in our ward who LOVE the temple.
We ended up at the Bishop's home for ice cream sundaes.
We've made it a tradition every fall to drive out to Sunny slope and buy apples.
This year we went with Missy and Claire and Sarah and Tommy.
For mutual the first week of October, we took all the YW to the corn maze.
We didn't even lose anyone.
Do we look scary?
I love these crazy girls.
Devin and Sarah flew to San Francisco to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary,
so Grandma and Grandpa got to babysit Eva, Sophie and Tommy over Columbus Day weekend.
Friday night, Tom went camping, so I took the kids hiking with my neighbor's the Manwaring's and their grandkids right at sunset.
The sunset was breathtaking.
The hikers
On Saturday, we played at the park
and went to Delsa's for ice cream
Tommy loved playing with Uncle Taylor's old dump trucks
We survived Sunday, although I don't miss the days of wandering the halls with an active 1 year old who won't sit still.
Devin and Sarah made it back late Monday night.
They were all rested and refreshed.
I on the other hand had a back ache from hauling a 1 year old around, but we enjoyed our weekend with the kids.

That sunset!!!! You are such a nice Grandma. I love your birthday traditions. Those are lucky, lucky grandkids. My back hurts just thinking about your busy weekend! And you are a wonderful YW president. Lucky young women. Everyone's lucky!
Such fun pics of your grandkids and of the corn maze outing. You had a busy September and were ready for the Gabrielsen Get-away!
Wow, you guys sure stayed busy this fall. Hopefully your back won't hurt as much lugging Lizzie around as it did with Tommy when you come here to babysit and it's our chance for a little getaway, wink, wink.;) That sunset was amazing!
