Still trying to get caught up on my blogging.
Early in June, right after we moved in, we visited
Charlie and Lucille to celebrate Charlie's 93rd birthday.
Omar, Charli, and Maya also came over to celebrate.
My birthday followed shortly after,
so Tom and I celebrated with dinner at Lucky Fins (yummy salmon)
and then birthday dessert with Devin and Sarah and family and the Manwaring's.
We also celebrated Father's Day at our new home.
Tommy does love his Grandpa and the alligator.
Whitney drove out and picked up
Charlie and Lucille so they could celebrate Father's Day with us and see
our new home.
Four Generations of Morris men
Tom and I went on a couple of fun June outings.
The first was a hike up the middle fork of the Boise river.
Of course we enjoyed a picnic on the beach.
The Syringa (Idaho's state flower) bushes were in full bloom and so beautiful and fragrant.
I looked pooped out
Whitney came home in June since she was out of school.
It was so fun hiking with her in the mornings.
My favorite thing to do in my new house is explore the trails right out my door.
Taylor says I look like "Syndrome" from the Incredibles
Sarah joined us one early morning
Whitney and I also enjoyed dinner in Hyde Park one evening.
It was yummy!
This little guy, a Lazuli Bunting, was a frequent visitor
to our bedroom window.
He was convinced he could come through the window and kept flying up
trying to get through. He was so cute.
Tom and I took our first summer camping trip at the end of June.
We went to my favorite spot.
Poverty Flats
It is so peaceful and we always have it to ourselves.
We took a little hike.
The wild flowers were beautiful but the mosquitoes were thick.
A little tree moss makes some attractive ear hair and a mustache.
My favorite trail, Cougar Creek
We love going to the hotsprings by Poverty Flats.
We drove back to Boise via Deadwood Reservoir
and took this little hike into this high mountain lake.
Up on top of Scott Mountain
We had a great month of June even though we were in the throws of unpacking.

Why do you have a moustache growing out of your nose? The picture brought back the memory! I love the bunting and especially love the four-generation picture. What a treasure!
