"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

This vinyl transfer that my friend made me is on the wall above my kitchen table
and pretty much sums up my December.

I invited Sophie, Eva and Tommy over to build and decorate
gingerbread houses.
It was so fun because I made the gingerbread and then cut out
the pieces with a cookie cutter so they
each got to make their own house.

Why do I look like I just woke up?
Another beautiful sunrise.
I just love our view!

Tom got us tickets to go see Mannheim Steamroller.
We had seen them years ago but they put on
a great show at the Idaho Center and I love their Christmas music.

I got to go to the Elementary school's band, orchestra, and choir
Christmas concert.
Eva is learning to play the clarinet.
She did great.
I'm not sure I could teach 5th and 6th grade band.
Kudos to the band teacher.

Tom and I drove down to Utah to hear Whitney's elementary choir's
Christmas performance.
She does an amazing job with those kids and they love her!

It was worth the drive!
This is a terrible picture because of the glare but
Mr. and Mrs. Claus paid a visit to  Hidden Springs so we had to get a picture.

Don't you just love music at Christmas?
There's nothing cuter than K-3 performing in their Christmas concert.
Sophie was fabulous!

Taylor got a two week Christmas break,
so when he got home we all went Christmas light looking.
We found some pretty amazing displays.

Tom and I went on a snowy walk right before Christmas.

We had a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner featuring
Spanish food in keeping with our Christmas Around the world tradition.
The chefs and the tapas spread
I love that Devin's family loves to be with everyone
so for Christmas Eve they slept at our house and Santa
delivered their presents here.

The kids opened their Santa Claus presents and we opened our presents
and then we had Christmas breakfast which was of course
aebleskivers filled with nutella.
We got ready for the day and then went over to Devin and Sarah's and watched them open their
presents under the tree and then had Christmas dinner at their house.

The day after Christmas we headed for the hills for a day of tubing and swimming
in the hot springs.
We drove up to Terrace Lakes.

We of course had to have a picnic on the way home.
And look what Santa brought me!!
We have a tradition every year of meeting up with our friends the Manwaring's to go bowling
on New Year's Eve.

Tom and Jed totally beat us all!
We then went to the Longhorn Steakhouse for New Year's Eve dinner.
Goodbye 2019!
