We don't want Taylor to feel sad that he's missing out on all the traditional family Halloween stuff because he's the last one left at home, so we had Missy and Jedd over to carve pumpkins for FHE. We did the usual pattern pumpkins (Taylor's ghost's answering the door, mine "welcome") and then Jedd brought his power tools so we drilled holes in the other ones. I have to admit, it was pretty fun! Missy and Jedd's homegrown pumpkin was about 100 lbs.
Taylor decided to dress up for Halloween 5 minutes before leaving for his party, so we sorted through the dress up trunk and came up with his Atilla the Hun costume. I have to admit it is pretty scary.. He, Chad, and Austin went over to Colton's for their annual Halloween party/weinie roast leaving Tom and I to answer the doorbell 300 times. Once our candy ran out, we went on a walk to see the Manwaring's annual gorilla cage production and then over to Colton's to join the party. It was a beautiful night for trick or treaters. When we got home we watched one of our dollar store movies "Revolt of the Zombies". It wasn't even a little bit scary and the acting was terrible. Oh well. We didn't have any trouble falling asleep.

Hey, how come this blog isn't named tomandjoanandco.blogspot.com? Once again, I feel totally slighted. But I did add this to my favorites . . .
Same reason why ours is sarahanddev... I do all the work!
So excited about the blog! It looks great. Welcome to another internet addiction.
I love dollar store movies. My favorite is one we watched about a country town that was taken over by killer frogs. Now there's a quality plot.
I think you even own that froggy-horror flick that Sarah speaks of. In fact, I've even seen it, or at least one like it. Now whenever I see frogs on the sidewalk (and there are a LOT here in the summer for some reason) it gives me the chills...Right. Anyway, you did great with your blog post!! I love reading about what you guys are up to. If you have any specific questions, just call. Good job!!
The pumpkins turned out really cute!!! I am not going to let James know you can take power tools to pumpkins or it will all be over!! I loved Taylor's costume!!!
Is it okay that we like to come to your blog and check it out every once in a while? Sara told me you updated it, and we both liked reading about your Halloween adventures. I also can't wait to try out your recipe!
I'm so glad you're viewing our blog Kylene. It makes me feel so happy that someone is actually looking at this! With Sara's help I'm figuring out how to do stuff.
