"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Best Christmas Ever!

We LOVED having all our family home for Christmas. We had such a great time and did lots of fun stuff. A few of the highlights: attending 3 of Taylor's Capital basketball games, baking cookies, having a family picture taken, watching bowl games including a BYU victory and a Clemson loss, looking at Christmas lights, the guys going skiing on Christmas Eve day, hosting two family parties the first with 21 members of Tom's family on Christmas Eve that featured a southern barbecue, the second on Christmas day with my family that was much more relaxed and featured a heated game of "Things", being in the temple with all our married kids and doing sealings then going out to dinner at Macaroni Grill, doing a neighborhood progressive dinner, going out for Thai food and Cheesecake Factory, Iron Chef competition featuring peanut butter, attending the BYU/BSU basketball game):, attending church together and hearing Ryan Morris' mission homecoming, going snowshoeing and having a picnic in the mountains! Our two weeks were filled with lots of fun, food, and family memories. Now as I put away decorations and do all the wash and throw out all the goodies, I'm overcome with gratitude for a wonderful family who LOVES to spend time together. I'm so thankful for a Heavenly Father who blesses us by putting us together in families to learn, grow and LOVE. Thanks for the memories!! I can't wait til we're all together again!

"We will be together forever some day. We will be together forever some day!!" (hold hands and sing in a circle). WHat a great family we have. Isn't Lucy the luckiest girl on earth to have so many loving family members and friends?? Good job on the slide show and summary-- it was perfect.

That's nice Joan. Well said. You are alright by me. (But please don't throw out all of the goodies just yet.)

"Things in a Box" is a fun group game from Canada. Devin and Sarah and Jon and Sara both got it for Christmas. It is fun.
