"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Dixieland Band goes to Toronto

This is Whitney deciding to post again. I just got back from a great trip to Toronto Canada with the Dixieland band where we participated in the IAJE conference. It was a lot of fun! I was able to see a little bit of Toronto and see a lot of really good jazz conference. Our clinic went well and we got a lot of compliments and invitations to more festivals. These are just a couple pictures of the band and of me in front of a great crepe place I ate at. One of the funniest things was when we were waiting in the airport to go back to Utah and had an impromptu jam session. People enjoyed it and we had a lot of fun playing in the terminal.

A funny hockey statue in downtown Toronto.

The band right after the clinic

Waiting for the clinic to start-- I decided to try out the soprano sax... Kenny G style.

Great job Cheat! It looks like you had a wonderful time! I'm sure Sara will be happy to see you following in Kenny G's footsteps.

I see that saxes and Sara(h)s don't mix. I'm with SC on that one.

So Whitters, which one's your boyfriend that you were telling me all about? Is that the statue that he kissed you under? That was such a great story...

Cool post Cheat! So unfair, all those times that I've been stranded in some stupid airport because a flight got cancelled and I've never been able to enjoy an impromptu jam session before! I imagine that really helps pass the time. I'm flying with you more often!
