"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Happy Independence Day!

We had a wonderful weekend up at the cabin for the 4th of July. We had great weather, great food, great company and lots of great memories were made.
Missy and Jedd and their family were also up at Jedd's parents' cabin and we had lots of fun on their 4-wheelers.
We took a picnic to Cave Falls, in the Idaho section of Yellowstone Park, and got to see some new territory. We fought off the swarms of mosquitoes, but found as long as we stayed in the sun and the wind was blowing, they left us alone.
The river was full of water so it made for beautiful falls!

The wild flowers along the way were beautiful! Saylor Manwaring came up for the day and we went into West Yellowstone and looked around and shopped. There were hand painted buffaloes all over town.
Devin and Tom had great fishing one evening. Here's Devin, the mighty fisherman!
We had a rip-roaring fire on Saturday night complete with campfire songs and ghost stories. On the way home from church we stopped at a beautiful field of sunflowers for a photo op. We also had a visit from the moose out in front of the cabin.
We played lots of games and ate lots of good food. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the great memories. Hopefully next year Sara, Jon and Lucy will join us!

Be still my heart!! I just shouldn't have looked....now I'm all depressed. Whitney is one sexy beast!! Looks like you had a great time-- maybe Devin can submit a copy of his version of events (from the cabin journal) to the blog so those who were not there can read it?!?
