I survived another year of Girl's camp! It actually was very fun other than trying to sleep at night. It didn't help that we were sleeping in tents and every night thunderstorms would roll through and lightening would light up the sky and the thunder would shake the ground. The theme for camp this year was "Princess Academy". Each level (1st, 2nd, 3rd year, etc.) had chosen a Disney Princess as their group name. Our group, the 2nd years, had chosen Princess Jasmine and we were the Academy of Agriba. Each group had a cheer for their Princess, and each time we met together we would do our cheers. We also spent lots of time in the lake swimming and boating, hiking, singing, eating, talking, preparing and performing skits, and certifying. It was great. The stake had organized classes teaching "How to live happily ever after", "How to avoid the poison apples", "Mirror, Mirror on the wall", etc. The classes taught us how to be beautiful on the inside and on the outside. I was asked to be the commencement speaker at the Princess Academy graduation and after the graduation ceremony they had their testimony meeting. The weather held out until just after our testimony meeting ended and then the rain came. It rained all night. We got up and got our tents taken down and the campsite cleaned up and then we headed back to Boise. It was a fun week and a great way to bond with all the wonderful young women.

What a fun girls camp theme. I'm sorry you had so much rain. I want to hear your graduation speech.
Sounds like it was very well organized. And impressive that you were the commencement speaker.
Geez- this is a girl's camp straight out of Lucy's dreams!! Why didn't I fly her out to Boise for it?!? She could have been your mascot (but you would have had to change your name to "Cinderella"-- Jasmine's like 4th or 5th on the list of favorites).
That is such a great theme! Sounds like lots of fun! I loved girls camp as a girl it was one of the highlights of my summer!
What a cool theme. I'm sure the girls loved it. You are so brave. Speaking at something like that would be my worst fear.
Good to see pictures from girls camp. It is good to see pictures of the girls. Lori
