"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Swimming with Missy

One of summer's highlights for me is having friends and family over to swim. While Sarah P. and Eva were here we had Missy and her kids over for a swimming bash.

Missy brought me some raspberries from her garden. These just aren't any raspberries, they are my Dad's raspberries. Missy brought a start from Grandpa's raspberry bushes to her home after Grandpa died. She's nurtured those raspberry bushes and is finally getting some berries and she was generous enough to share them with us. It was a delicious taste of home. She also brought some homemade granola. YUM!

I am so jealous of those raspberries! I was just thinking about grandpas raspberry bush the other day and how much I miss going over every summer to pick some.

Anderson is getting so big and looking so cute!!!!
And, boy, do those raspberries bring back happy memories. Now what happens if Missy ever gets to move? She'll have to take a start and begin again - they must carry on!
