"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

It's official! He's an Eagle Scout!!

We had a very busy weekend. We got home from the branch campout and put together the final preparations for Taylor's Eagle Court of Honor which we held Sunday evening. We had a great - short and sweet program. Taylor's former YM's president gave a talk on being trustworthy and then Taylor was presented his Eagle award by Brother Carollo
and then given the Eagle charge by Jed Manwaring.
I put together a slide-show with pictures of Taylor through the years. Tom and Taylor both gave a few remarks and then we had refreshments.
We had a great turnout. It is so wonderful to finally have Taylor's Eagle completed!

The display table.
I'm so proud of Taylor for hanging in there and accomplishing his goal to attain his Eagle Scout award. I know my Dad is so pleased that all of his grandsons attained the rank of Eagle Scout! My Mom bought this Eagle for Taylor and had me save it for him for when he received his Eagle. I was so happy to finally present it to him. Thanks Mom!

My eyes burst into tears when I saw that eagle, then I clicked on comments and saw you had the same reaction, Kay! Dad would be so proud, and how thoughtful of Mom to think ahead and get that eagle for Taylor. We're proud of you, Taylor. Roger was the very first Eagle Scout in his ward growing up. Missy said it was really great to be there, and it inspired her boys.

It's kind of funny when I think back to the fact that Devin was like the youngest Eagle Scout ever to obtain the award in our ward, and Taylor, well, Taylor was....3 days away from being 18? I love that guy.
