"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Quick trip to Las Begas!

Last month shortly after Sarah and Eva left Boise for their trip to Canada, I flew down to Las "Begas" as Lucy calls it, to help Sara and Jon move into their new home. I got there on Tuesday and the moving truck arrived early on Wednesday morning. The movers spent the morning unloading all the Cardon's belongings and Jon and Sara went to work putting it all away. I helped with the kids and helped as I could. Jon and Sara had most everything already put away by Wednesday night. We spent Thursday decorating the house and hanging all the pictures.
Their home is so big compared with their little apartment in Philly and it already feels so homey.
I know Sara is enjoying a much larger kitchen and actually having cupboard space and a pantry.
Friday, Aunt Kay drove down from St. George to see Sara's new home and to go to lunch with us and then shopping.
We had lunch at Chili's and then went to the Outlet mall to shop. After Kay left, Jonathan took us out to the Air Force Base and we shopped for groceries at the commissary. On Saturday, after a 9 hour delay at the Las Vegas airport, I flew back to Boise. It's ironic that I could have driven most of the way in the time I spent waiting at the airport. It will be so nice having Sara's family a little closer for a year.

Nice blog post! I wish you'd just decide to move down here permanently like Snow Birds. It is in your blood afterall.

How great that Sara and Jon are closer now, and such a cute house. And a 9 hour delay, yuck!

How nice of you to fly out to help Sara unpack. And glad you were able to get some fun time in shopping and eating out!

It was so fun to see you, Sara, Jon, Lucy and to finally meet Zachy. Their new house is gorgeous and all already completely put together after only two days of having the stuff- impressive.
It was fun to shop, too, even if it was 200 degrees outside!!!
