Last Wednesday I drove down to Utah and met Patty, Pam and Roger at the Logan City Cemetery to decorate our family's graves for Memorial Day.

I think the "old-timers" still call Memorial Day, Decoration Day because in Utah especially, everyone decorates their loved one's grave. It is a wonderful tradition and the cemetery's look beautiful. We decorated Grandma and Grandpa Gabe's graves,

then walked around and visited all of our other loved one's graves.

Surprisingly, it was a beautiful spring day in Logan. We then drove to Maddox in Brigham City and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Patty and I headed to Salem and Pam and Roger went to Ogden. Patty and I spent Thursday and Friday shopping for all sorts of fun stuff. Whitney joined us on Friday. It was so fun to have some "girl" time. We drove into Salt Lake on Friday and had lunch at the Red Butte Cafe

and shopped at Stein Mart and TJ Maxx. Don't tell Tom but I found all sorts of treasures.
I drove back to Boise on Saturday and made it just in time to go to a wedding. Bishop Morris performed his first marriage on Saturday evening. He did a great job. He's definitely gotten his feet wet with this new calling.

Wow! A wedding already? Did he watch Princess Bride a couple times to get some ideas?
He was actually quoting Princess Bride before the ceremony ..
What a fun sister weekend! And I'm jealous that you got to eat at Maddox! ;)
Love the comments. LOL! Thanks for posting pics of Grandma and Grandpa's grave; it's beautiful w/ those flowers!
Man, I feel sad missing the sister activities. The flowers gorgeous- my guess is Evan was involved? Thank you so much for honoring our ancestors.
We had a great time! I'm glad that the wedding went well!
What a gorgeous day we had in Logan talking about ancestors and catching up. There's nothing I love more than sister activities!
What a nice Memorial Day weekend. The flowers you chose were beautiful.
Sister time!! Just let dad know all those "treasure" were funded by the equally infamous "piano money." He won't think twice about it.
