Our ward had its' first ever Adult Pinewood Derby last weekend. It was fun seeing 70-80 year old men get into the action and build cars for the Derby. Lazy people like us, who haven't had a son in Cub Scouts for 10 years, opted to use their son's old Pinewood derby cars, which weren't exactly in top shape(thus we had some of the slowest cars). Most brought their kid's cars, some brought dinosaurs from the past (their own Pinewood derby car), but the winner,
the ward Young men's president paid $20 to whomever at work had the proven fastest car. Sure enough, his car won. (The Bishop has filed an official protest).
We had a great turnout from young and old.

What a cute idea for an activity and I LOVE the bishop's choice award couple. That made my night! (And that's saying something since it WAS American Idol night!)
Sounds like a great idea for a ward activity!! Very clever!!
