We had our annual King Cake party on Monday night for FHE. We ate delicious southern food,

(cornbread with honey, lemonade, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, jambalya with smoked sausage, ham and shrimp, shrimp and cheesy grits, salad, and collard greens with bacon, and that's just for starters). We had Mississippi mud pie and Key lime pie for dessert.
We invited great company,

Missy, Jedd, Jared, Sam, Ellie and Anderson.

Trex, Tom, Cindy, John, Aaron and Carina.

and we even threw in a few Bedke's (Eric Bedke's son, Jess and his wife who now live in Caldwell)
And we enjoyed dancing complete with Zydeco music. (Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the wild dancing.
No King Cake party is complete without the King Cake.

This year the baby Jesus was found by Carina so I guess next year she will be hosting the big bash.

That cake looks awesome, but I'm most impressed by the company. I'm glad you had a fun time.
That party looks and sounds so fun! I especially like your guest list!
Fun!! Your food and dancing sounds awesome. Carina has some big shoes to fill next year.:)
Holy cow, I have sure missed out on a lot of posts recently. But it sounds like you guys have had a lot of fun stuff going on. When will the Boise temple be completed? It seems like I've seen quite a few temple trip posts.
We had so much fun Joan! Thank you for inviting us :). Sara is right, I do have some big shoes to fill. You are the hostess with the mostess!
