"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Hidden Springs Halloween

We have had such a beautiful fall.
I got to go hiking on Halloween morning.
Isn't that sunrise beautiful!
One of my Halloween/Thanksgiving decoration projects
It is so fun having Devin, Sarah and family in Boise.
Sarah invited us for dinner and trick or treating and then they got invited to a friend's house for dinner so we tagged along.
Eva the peacock matched her piano so well I thought I better take a picture.

Sophie was Elsa

and she too wanted a photo at the piano

One of the sister missionaries serving in Devin and Sarah's ward is/was a makeup artist so she came over and did Eva's peacock makeup.
Pretty cool!

Ready to go!

They were so excited and Hidden Springs is such a great neighborhood.
Many of the neighbors had their little fireplaces and lawn chairs set up on the driveway to greet the trick or treaters.
After the girls had trick or treated, we drove down to Harrison Boulevard in Boise to check out the scene. That neighborhood goes all out with decorations and there were hundreds of trick or treaters.
We got back to our house at 8:40, turned on our front porch light and the doorbell started ringing. We gave out all 150 pieces of candy in about 45 minutes, turned our front porch light off and concluded our Halloween night by watching "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".
It was so fun having little ones to celebrate Halloween with again!

I love your new header picture - you both look great! It is fun to see the girls in their costumes - they are both such pretty girls! Grandkids make Halloween the best - I'm so glad Sarah and Devin live nearby!

I love the peacock costume - Addie was one last year. How wonderful to have your grandkids close on Halloween. That holiday is all about the kids!
