"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

A BIG Change

While we were in Lake Tahoe we were negotiating on buying a new home.
We made an offer, they countered, we countered back and finally came to an agreement.
We had been looking to move for 3 years, but we loved our home on Bunchberry so it had to be just the right choice and we were picky!
We've loved our Bunchberry house but it was too big and we were sick of taking care of the pool.
We wanted a house with a view and finally found one that checked all the boxes up by where
Devin and Sarah live in Hidden Springs.
I took some pictures of our old house (at Lucy's request)

It has been a very BUSY/STRESSFUL/EMOTIONAL last few months
(thus the lack of blog posts since March)
as we packed, moved out and then moved into our new home.
Here's a few pics of our new home.
Our backyard view

Tom always wanted a house where he could watch the sun set.
Since we bought the house in April, we
had no idea what a great job they had done in landscaping.
What a pleasant surprise when we moved in the weekend of May 31, June 1 to find
such a lovely flower garden.
We have loved the wide array of flowers in the front yard.
When one stops blooming, another plant starts.

We now say we live in the country because it takes about 20 minutes to get
into town, but we are loving the serenity out here.
We miss our friends and neighbors, we had lived in the same area in Boise since 1983,
so change is hard, but we love our new home and look forward
to our new life in the country.
