"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

A Star is Born

I flew to Denver in the middle of April to watch Lucy participate in her middle school musical, Mary Poppins Returns. I always love hanging out with the Cardon kids.
I also worked in a dental visit and we bought these cupcakes in Castle Rock on the way to the dentist.
Lizzie was loving that frosting.

as was Leah
I flew in on Thursday and got to go to the play on Thursday night.
Lucy was in the chorus and knew every word.
She also was a honey bee in "A Spoonful of Sugar"
They did such a great job with the play, the staging, acting and costumes were great!
On Saturday we had a picnic at the park

and saw my favorite bird, a bluebird

Whitney surprised Lucy and flew in Friday night to see the play

We all went to the play on Saturday afternoon

A Star is Born!

Afterwards we went out for a Rita's

and a barbecue dinner.
I flew home Sunday night.
It was a quick trip but so worthwhile to see Lucy in her first musical.

That Lucy is destined for greatness! Such an impressive young woman! How nice of Whitney to come, too! Best Aunt Ever!
