"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Christmas decorating

We spent all last weekend getting our house decorated for Christmas. Some of the neighbors in our neighborhood go all out decorating their homes with lights. Tom jokes that we put up "token" lights on our house, but I think he does a great job.
Our neighbor that lives "kiddie corner" from us is blind but really gets into the holiday spirit as he decorates his home for Christmas. This is what I get to look at every night from my front window.
I love Christmas lights because they help me remember the true meaning of Christmas. Through Jesus' birth, the Light of the gospel was brought to the earth. What joy that brings to me! Jesus Christ, son of God truly is Love's pure light!

Wow! Those are beautiful lights. And that video is so cool. At about the middle there's a picture of some BYU Folkdancers. I'm sure Michelle knows all of them, but I recognized our room-mate Lindsay in it. How fun!

Your neighborhood looks so beautiful during Christmas. No wonder there's an endless parade of cars driving through to see.

Wow! That is a fairy land! I'm touched that he is blind and yet so into lights. There may be lesson there? Yours looks beautiful, too!

PS I loved the video and your new picture at the top. . . except that Sara is hiding. That must have been when she was sick.

Lucy loves the "Bismas House" across the street from us-- what fun!! It's fun to guess what she must be thinking with all these pretty decorated houses all of a sudden. It is a fairyland!

Holy moly I don't want to know what kind of a power bill that guy gets! I was impressed with your lights. We have 2 strands wrapped around the porch and I feel like I went all out!
