"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve at Michelle and Steve's. We ate yummy appetizers and desserts. My "Eat Cake" recipe for chocolate cake turned out great and was so YUMMY! It was fun being with the Morris family. We ate, then acted out the nativity. I have to admit the wrestling shepherds were the best part, but we also enjoyed Taylor and Andrew as the two wise "guys". We had the annual talent show with Whitney performing "My Grown Up Christmas List" but the best act had to be little Lucas singing "I'm getting Nothin for Christmas" and then the microphone scuffle with Carter that later ensued. We played Bingo (congrats to Tom for winning the BSU Bronco beanie), and Christmas Charades and then had a pinata. Thankfully no one was injured and we're so glad Michelle decided against letting the kids use a baseball bat and umbrella to break open the pinata. We had a snowy and slick drive home from Steve and Michelle's in a blizzard. Christmas morning was fun. We invited Charlie and Lucille over for our traditional breakfast of aebleskivers, eggs and sausage. We just relaxed most of the day and watched "Iron Man" and took a walk in the snow and then had a fun fondue dinner with chicken, shrimp and basil fontina cheese. We invited the Manwarings over to play games and then the kids got in the hot tub. It was a fun day even though we missed Devin, Sarah, Eva, Jon, Sara and Lucy!

We missed you too! Sounds like your Christmas Eve was nothing but exciting. We are sad we missed the wrestling shepherds. Did anyone get a video of Whitney's rendition of "All the Single Ladies"? She could be the next YouTube star. Eat your heart out, Aaron and Conrad!
Sounds like you had a wonderful "White Christmas", with lots of fun, food and family. We too have had lots of snow this year, which has made it for a fun holiday season. Wishing you all a great New Year!!!
Sounds like so much fun!! I can't say that I'm too dissapointed Lucy missed the wrestling shepherds curfuffle-- who knows if she would have wanted to join in?? No black eyes on Christmas!!:)
I'm laughing out loud at Sarah's comment (or was it Devin?) Aaron and Conrad have tried so hard! What a wonderful Christmas! Christmas eve in a hot tub- I could go for that!
PS That cake looks sensational! Also, I love your new temple picture.
Looks like a lot of fun! I bet Lucy loved all the attention and the double Christmas she received from each side!
