"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Happy New Year!
We had a New Year's Day party with the Gabrielsen family on Thursday. We ate ham, rolls, salads, chips and dips and drank Italian sodas, and for dessert we had chocolate fondue and blackberries with a yummy fruit dip. John and Cindy had our names for Christmas and brought over our gifts. Tom LOVED his Star Trek collection of Pez dispensers. We then played our annual game of Trivial Pursuit. Instead of playing the men against the women, we drew teams and the team of Tom, Joan, Missy and Taylor WON!! I also included in the collage a picture of all the snow we got over Christmas. Sad to say it is all melted now, but we got a lot on Christmas Day. Whitney drove back to Provo yesterday so I guess the hoilidays are officially over. Now it is time to work on all those New Year's resolutions.

I didn't know Tom was a PEZ collector- I'll bet Missy was jealous! The pictures made me cry! I miss everyone . . .wish I could have been there! Happy New Year!
If you and dad are on the same team, how did anyone expect to compete?? You guys are the dream team....
As best I recall, I was laying on the floor sleeping during most of the game. I take all family traditions seriously. Plus, all of those PEZ kind of went in like a bomb.
I am sad to hear I missed the trivial pursuit game that always ends in aunt Cindy swearing!!!
In like a bomb, out like a bomb... You know what they say...
I can't believe how much snow you got over the break. Wow. And Ellie is so big!
